Queensley Sofurutu Seghosime is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and currently a member of its Governing Council. She is also a fellow of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and attended the Senior Executive Course 34, 2012 at National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS), where she was awarded the prestigious honour of member of the national institute (mni). She is also member of Tax Appeal Tribunal.
She joined Federal Inland Revenue Service in 1994 and rose to the position of Coordinating Director in 2013 with supervisory role over various functions including Tax Audit, Tax Policy and Advisory Services, Taxpayers Services, Policy and Programmes Management, Compliance Research and intelligence, Corporate Communications, Tax Investigation and Special Enforcement, Legal and Prosecution amongst others. She has also served now Financial Reporting Council of NIgeria (FRCN) at various times. She also represented FIRS on the Management Committee of the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax. She was also a member of the technical committee of the FIRS Board.
Prior to joining FIRS, she had worked at BDO Balogun Badejo and Co (Chartered Accountants) for 12 years where she garnered experience in statutory audit of companies, tax consultancy and advisory services and other accountancy related services. Seghosime has attended several executive management courses locally and overseas including the Comparative Tax Policy and Administration programme at Havard University Kennedy School of Government and the International Symposium on Economic Crimes in Jesus College(Cambridge University)
